The 1.1.0 update for Citadel Prime is now released




Citadel Prime has now received its first major update that touches almost every aspect of the existing game and adds a huge amount of new content. As a TL;DR, this update adds lots of new things to unlock, a new final area which houses the new final boss, and some additional endings. The game underwent major rebalancing, mostly focused on making guns and certain items stronger. The old lighting system has also been replaced with a new one that not only looks better but is also less limited. Below is a list of the most notable changes made in this update.
Major Changes:
- Added Area 5
- Added new final boss
- Added new characters
- Added new mechanic: Modifiers (10 in total)
- Added 9 new items
- New lighting system
- Multiple item resprites
- Items now need to be discovered before being visible in the database
- All items in the database now have a data entry
- Visual updates to areas 2 & 3
- Added a few new weapons
Minor Changes:
- Some preexisting items must now be unlocked
- Multiple game-breaking bugs are fixed
- Added a settings button in the pause menu
- Added a dash animation for all characters
- The player dash has now been tweaked to be slightly longer and offer more iframes
- Buffed most guns
- Buffed multiple items
- Fixed some bugs relating to a few items
- Added some polish to the main menu
- Added orange and green to the list of menu colors in settings
- Added a setting to toggle in the game intro
- Added a setting to toggle screenshake
- Fixed multiple visual bugs
- Multiple performance optimizations
- Adjusted the unlock requirements for the Scavenger & Berserker characters
- The technician enemy can now receive knockback
- Improved some animations relating to a couple of enemies
- Changed the main menu music
- Changed the music in area 1
- Fixed issue relating to enemies getting stuck on objects when receiving knockback
- Visual improvements for many aspects of the game
- Adjusted the value of many items
- Adjusted the contact damage of some enemies
- Adjusted the speed and damage of some enemy projectiles
- Added a miniboss entrance cutscene
Final Notes:
Saves for 1.0.0 are compatible with the updated save system, so any progress from the old version can be carried over to the new one. The install method has been changed from being a zip file to an installer to make the process easier and avoid potential issues with the game's files being misplaced.
