Citadel Prime is a top-down action roguelike about a robot who mysteriously activates one day inside a facility long forgotten by most. Fight through hordes of foes as you make your way out of the facility and toward the citadel in the distance. As your journey progresses, you will find many items and weapons along the way that provide many different build opportunities to suit your playstyle.

Make your way to the Citadel

As your run progresses, you will find yourself going through 4 different areas. Each area consists of randomly selected rooms, 2 shops, and a boss waiting at the end. You will also face a miniboss before each shop which is sent by that area's boss to stop you. At the end of each run, you are given the option to start a new run with or without keeping your items and weapons from that previous run, with the game adjusting its difficulty if you do.

Unlockable characters, items, and modifiers

This game features multiple types of unlocks that all offer a unique playstyle and new build potential. There are characters, each with their unique playstyle, that give a different way to play the game. Powerful items are also able to be unlocked through completing certain objectives during your run, which might lead to the perfect build in your next playthrough. Modifiers are the final type of unlock and can change or add game mechanics in ways that can offer a new experience or challenge to those who are interested.
